Yesterday I attended the Hollywood Connect Fall Orientation. I was first told about H.C. from our realtor, she happens to also work for the organization and was gracious enough to give me some info about it. H.C. is an organization that connects Christians in the "industry" to ministries and people in LA. Checkout http://www.hollywoodconnect.com/ if you are curious, there are a ton of different events to attend and it is great for people like me who just moved here and don't really know anyone. Anyway, there were three panel speakers who have all had success in the biz and they were a wealth of information. One of the speakers, David Atkinson, gave me some info on the Actors Co-op, which is an equity theatre company he is on the board of and they are currently looking for people for a new apprentice program. I am not sure what all the apprentice program would entail, but I am excited to check it out as the company auditions are not until the Spring but the apprentice program would start later this fall.
Otherwise, Kelly and I had a somewhat laid back weekend, he worked on ABC's Big Shots Friday and did not wrap till around 2am Saturday morning, so he got some much needed rest and today has been working on constructing our Murphy Bed. I will update Mission Murphy bed as I follow the progress.
He just announced it is time for another Home Depot run, so I think I will join him and return to blog later :)
