Well, as you may have guessed, Kelly and I made it down to San Diego and safely picked up our friends Ashley and Mike. The trip was super smokey, and at one point the freeway heading North was closed and as we made our way South we could see hills blazing on the opposite side of the freeway. The sky was dark grey and the smoke even made it up to us in LA, the picture of the smokey sky was taken only two hours after my last post. It came in really quick, but thankfully has already began to thin out a bit.

We had a blast hanging out with the Kaelbers as well as their friends down in Newport Beach. We showed Ashley and Mike around Hollywood, Rodeo Drive, went to a Groundlings Theatre show and then spent some fun time at both the Santa Monica and Newport Beaches. One of the highlights was a bonfire at Newport Beach, complete with smores of course!

Today we ventured out to Pasadena and shopped around and ate lunch at Buca di Beppos. Now, Kelly is passed out on the couch with the UCLA/WSU game blasting.
