Right now I am sitting in my apartment eating a yummy caramel apple with a huge grin on my face. Last night Kelly and I went to a local city's Holiday Kick-Off, all of the local businesses on the main street of the city were open late and were passing out goodies of all sorts, the bank was giving away caramel apples. There were live bands and Christmas carolers, it was a very small town, "Stars Hollow -esque" event. Although the apple is pretty tasty, it is not the reason of my grin...

Today I worked on a Dreamworks film, Hotel for Dogs, and was given my First SAG Voucher! One of my goals is to join the Screen Actors Guild, and one way to achieve that is by earning 3 SAG vouchers. You can be given a voucher if you are given a line or a special duty, or as I discovered today, if you just ask! Who would have thought? I had heard that it is easier to get a voucher on a film because part of the union contract is that 50 SAG background actors have to be hired before any non-union, which is a lot more than tv, it looks like those rumors were true today. A SAG actor did not show up to the 5:30 am call time this morning and thanks to their sleepiness I was given a voucher. It is currently hanging on the refrigerator like a proud drawing of a five year old or an A+ spelling test. Kelly is on his way home from having dinner with one of the guy's he worked with in WA, and I think it will be fun to see his reaction.
