What a Weekend

Saturday night we went to The Groundlings Theatre Christmas Show and as we were walking into the 10 pm show out came Kevin Dunn (who plays the father on Samantha Who) he had come out to support one of his co-stars, Melissa McCarthy.

Being a Gilmore Girls fan, I was of course excited to watch Melissa McCarthy perform live, and I expected to even be a bit biased, but when she was on stage she clearly earned the spotlight. As Kelly put it, "she stole the show," I couldn't agree more. She was hilarious!

Another highlight was going to the Grove on Sunday, we ate at Maggiano's and it was delicious! (It too will be added to Kelly and my list of favorite LA restaurants) It was also fun seeing the Grove all decorated for Christmas, Kelly and I honestly keep forgetting it is the Christmas season, there are not very many decorations around and even then... they are palm trees dressed in white lights, or my personal favorite are the bushes at the gas station with red/white/blue starred garland (obviously left over from July) hanging on them with a few gold plastic ornaments. Classy I know :)

Now I am getting ready for our next guests Tiffany and Taye, who arrive tomorrow! I will try to remember to take pictures of their visit, as I failed miserably this past weekend and forgot my camera everywhere we went, oops!
