The Good the Bad and the ...

Grimey!

That's right, I set my Method cleaning products aside and got out the big guns, aka Bleach and Kaboom to address what I now know to be grime. The move went great, and I am probably over exaggerating a bit, but I have been rather spoiled these past 4 years living in a new apartment and then a new house and then our cozy but new studio. Our new 20 year old home had a bit more left from the previous owners than I had anticipated. Never the less, all is good and sanitized now and I am taking a break from the mountains of boxes.
So far the only moving casualty was the fall and crack of my favorite sunglasses, yep the big red ones. Kelly of course wasn't too disappointed, he never was a big fan of them, I however was quite bummed. The only other upset was on Friday when Kelly and I were dismantling the murphy bed and it decided to come toppling down. I was literally pinned between the interior frame and the base, thankfully Kelly reacted quickly and put his arm out to save me from getting hit in the head. We managed to walk away with only scrapes and bruises and a sore back. I was looking forward to not being too sore from the move, we hired movers this time! But, today is the first day I haven't been walking around stiff and uncomfortable.
So far we are really happy with the complex, we have already met 3 of our neighbors. Saturday morning one neighbor even came by to offer us some coffee. The only noise issue was yesterday afternoon I had to listen to my neighbors music for a couple of hours really loud, at first I started getting frustrated, until I came to the conclusion that they must have been playing guitar hero and it made me smile thinking of jamming with my cousins Ashley and Makenzie. Either that or they were enjoying listening to a song, pausing for a minute or two and sometimes listening to the same song again. Maybe next time I will just go challenge them to a game.
