"What's in those Washington apples?"

This past weekend Kelly and I were in Las Vegas for his Baker to Vegas race. Kelly's run was 7.3 miles, the first mile was a slight downhill and the rest was a solid uphill climb to the finish. He ran the race in 53 minutes 9 seconds, and when we returned to basecamp the question above was one of the many that his co-workers had for him. His team finished 4th in their division and 44th out of 242 teams total. The race was quite the to do, one of the teams Kelly ran against was from South Wales.
We took these two pics (above and below) at the Bellagio hotel, that was by far our favorite. We were able to escape the smoke and liked the atmosphere the best. (I know Tiff, shoulders back in my photo, someday I will get it :)

These pictures were taken before the big race, it was pretty cold out in the dessert and the winds were super strong, thankfully I had packed a light jacket, I will try not to complain though as I know Washington got snow this weekend. That is seriously crazy!

And here Kelly is finishing the race. One of the rules of the race was that there had to be a "catcher" to receive each runner. Some spouses were able to be catchers, but just in case Kelly really did need someone to hold him up I wasn't really qualified for the job. We didn't think him plowing me over would be a very graceful way to finish, so the coach opted (well just made the decision) to take my place.

Well, you know, up here the air is pure.
Oh man I love the Bellagio. Did you watch the fountains? Did you eat gelato?

How cool for him! I can't run to save my life :) That top you are wearing in the second picture (first of you) is really cute!
