Welcome to LA

Yesterday Kelly worked as an extra on the show Monk, he played a police officer, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He was a "featured extra" which means his "character" was established and he was given some specific actions and hopefully some good camera time. He wasn't told what episode it will be, but it is during a large parade scene. Neither of us have ever seen the show, but we are going to try and look out for that particular episode. The only bummer was they shaved his sideburns. He was told that cops in that town were "clean cut men," because we all know how shabby looking Kelly usually is.

As for me, my latest news is that I survived my first LA headshot photography session. I really liked the photographer and I am hoping for the best with the results of the pictures. As for the hair and makeup stylist, lets just say that as far as she was concerned my nickname might as well be "Big Girl," and she was sure to point out all of the flaws that I am already quite aware of considering I live in this "aged" skin.
Do not worry, I reacted as any mature woman would have and held my head up high, came home ate a ginormous piece of carrot cake, started to cry and called my sister. Seriously thank God for older sisters. I am all put back together now and ready to face LA with my ever thickening skin, and if I am not my sister has assured me she will be making some phone calls :)

Monk is an Emmy-winning show! Good job Kelly. The sideburns will grow back.
