Oh dear.

So, I was encouraged to blog about this story because it is just classic...
Friday night I was at home doing random things like laundry and organizing some papers etc. I had the tv on TLC for some background noise and the show "Bikini or Bust" came on. It is a reality show about a couture bikini designer, Ashley Paige, and her life in LA. One of the "characters" is her mom, a frumpy funny totally non-LA woman. I had never seen the show before that night, but it is one that if you have seen the preview you have seen the show type of thing. Anyway, in addition to the bikini company, Ashley also runs a non-profit dog rescue/shelter out of her and her mother's home. Ashley's mom (I will just refer to her as "Mom" from now on, I don't know her name) was convinced that one of her little pups had great acting potential. She took the little guy to Le Paws, where they met with one of the booking agents for an interview. As I looked up at the tv between pairing socks together, I couldn't help but think, that woman (the agent) looks really familiar. Weird, hmm... So then I folded a pair of socks and looked up again as I thought, I totally know that voice! Then Mom said "oh thank you APRIL!!!" I knew it. The Le Paws agent was/is my agent in LA!!! Miss April Bake of Brass! If you follow the link above you can check her out on the Le Paws website, she is listed as April Baker. Interesting. So, I am going to write a little email or something, not too sure yet, just to say hello and let her know I saw her on tv. In my interview when she mentioned "she had been in the biz 10 years," I never thought to ask her if she had been working with humans. Lesson learned. So, I do not feel too bad for not having been sent out by her, as Zoe (the dog above, yep the "clients" are listed on the Le Paws site) and I have nothing in common.

On a totally different note, don't you just love Pike Place Flowers:

Lastly, for any inquiring minds, I am pretty sure I bombed the audition today. Sigh. But, I got some bomb flowers, ha ha. Oh dear indeed :)
