Drumroll Please...

I learned how to BBQ!
That's right folks, up until the other night I never even knew how to turn the thing on. I always had a fear of the propane tank exploding. I know that sounds ridiculous, but I have known not 1 but 2 different families whose BBQs caught on fire.
But, when Kelly got off of work a little late, and I had to be out the door in less than an hour, it was either be brave and get step by step instructions over the phone, or try and fit the giant kabobs on the George Foreman. I opted to be brave. My only regret is that I will have one less card in my back pocket for the "I've Never Game." At least I still have "I've never used a lawn mower." Now, don't go thinking I'm too prissy for such business. I have cleaned gutters and done a bit of roofing in my day. But, enough about me, back to the beef!
The best thing about this beef dinner is that it was exactly what the doctor ordered. That's right, I am a bit low in the iron department, so my doctor recommended some more red meat and...
Spinach. Which, thankfully I love. Especially with a dash of garlic, pepper, and evoo.

Oh, and some brown rice that made my kitchen smell a bit like dirty socks.
Hmm... not the most appetizing smell.
Throughout my pregnancy I have quite often mentioned my inhanced smelling abilities to Kelly, he doesn't exactly agree, he always says, "I think your sniffer is off." Regardless, I ate it and enjoyed every bite. Only thing missing was zucchini on the kabobs. I attribute my forgetfulness of the zucchini to being pregnant. At least I hope that is what it is from. Kelly hasn't argued that one much, so perhaps it is true. My sister read an article on MSN the other day talking about pregnancy connected with temporary memory loss aka spaciness, according to the article she and I will be back to normal 6 months post pregnancy. Hey, if it was on the internet it must be true, right...

maybe this will make you feel better, i am also afraid of gas grills. but boy oh boy do i love the charcoal. i know, carcinogens. and i'm also afraid of the lawnmower! both because of the whipping blade and the grass pollen. sometimes i have to lie in bed all darn day because of allergies. wow! this was a long comment!
