She's Here!

Georgiana Lee Smith
June 9, 2010
6 lbs 11 oz
19"

First Bath, I adore her wrinkly newborn face.
One very proud and excited Daddy!
A lot of IV fluids later, and one happy new family of 3!!!
I could cuddle with her all day long.
Hearing test, Kelly said she looked like she was going into the matrix.
Getting ready to go home!

She kept slipping out of her mittens, so a nurse recommended using socks instead. I tell you if there were mittens with velcro or some type of little belt ish thing to gently put around the wrist, anything other than elastic that is so loose I could wear the mittens, I would be all over those. Anyone know of any?
We each took a hand because she already loves to play peek a boo!
Boo!
Ruffles, yes please.

Hopefully soon I will be posting pictures of 2 other very exciting arrivals!
That's right, the twins (my first niece and newest nephew!) arrived Tuesday June 8th.
Ryder Gary
6lbs 10oz, 19.5"
&
Hana Callie
5lbs 12oz, 20"

My sister and I were laboring at the same time (unfortunately at 2 different hospitals), and it has been the hardest thing ever not to have met them yet! I cannot wait to hold them and stare at them and just adore them. For most of Tuesday we thought the babies were really going to live up to their Triplets nickname and share a birthday, but Baby G took a bit longer to arrive.
Georgiana arrived Wednesday afternoon via an emergent C Section, after being induced and laboring since Tuesday morning. When I have more time I will try to write up the birth story, as I know a few would like to hear it. Basically all birthing plans were out the window, except for our most important goal, for Georgiana to arrive healthy. That is the one goal that was kept, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord oh my soul!

Along with the outs of the birthing plans went every thing else, like the updates and post birthing plans. I apologize to those family and friends who got the excited Tuesday morning text that we were checking in at the hospital, and then didn't hear anything until late Wednesday afternoon, as I know some were getting quite worried. I haven't had any time to check my double digit voicemails and triple digit emails, but please know things just got a bit crazy and the plan wasn't to 'leave anyone out,' but as I am already learning, with Baby Girl plans are just more or less possibilities. Like for today, my goals outside of taking care of and loving on Baby Girl all day, are to share pics of her with the world wide web and take a shower. There is 1% of me that is still delirious enough to think that we may still make it to Makenzie's graduation tonight, but after my snail paced climb up the stairs this morning I'm thinking that that probably won't happen. But, I'm choosing to be in denial about that until later :)

Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers, please keep them coming! And, I'll do my best to keep the pictures coming. The paparazzi, I mean Kelly, are ensuring that every moment of Georgie's life are captured!
